Ali Haruna, 25 years old was arrested and arranged before Igbosere Magistrate court for entering the Redeemed Christain Church of God Victoria Island, Lagos with charms around his waist.
Haruna was arrested by the officers of the Maroko Police Division, Lekki, Lagos following a complaint lodged by members of the church that they found the accused inside the church on March 31st, 2013 with charms.
Haruna, when being interrogated by the Police said he entered the church to pray to God but couldn't give a satisfactory answer on what he was doing with the charms inside the church.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge and Magistrate Mrs Ope Agbe admitted him on bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety with proof of tax payment to the Lagos state government.
The case has been adjourned till 29th of April, 2013.
