The management of V channels and Oodua TV have come out to deny the story that Actress Mercy Aigbe-Gentry was embarrassed and battered by husband, Lanre Gentry.
Stella Dimoko-Korkus, a blogger posted on her blog that Mercy Aigbe suddenly disappeared from the location of a recording which had her husband, sister and friends in attendance. The post said"so slightly before the show ended, Mercy just vanished and everybody started looking for her including her hubby, Lanre Gentry".
The husband was later taken to a room; (after trying to force the MC to announce that he was looking for his wife failed), where his wife who arrived the venue in a short black dress had changed into a nightgown.
The post further said that"Enraged hubby Lanre dragged her out in the nightgown and threw her into his SUV and drove angrily out of the venue whilst shocked onlookser looked on".
In its reaction to the story the management of the TV stations have denied that anything like that happened saying the blogger concoted the story.
According to a press release, signed by Funke Oluwole "After reading the latest lie from Stella Dimoko, one can conclude that the blogger is on a poorly orchetrated vendatta against Maercy Aigbe,-Gentry, a succeassful actress, wife anf mother. It is also easy to deduce from the incoherent and watery "report" that Mrs Dimoko has no idea what journalism and blogging is all about because the story comes across a puerile, retrogressive and unproductive mind.
The press release also challenged Stella Dimoko to"furnish the public with evidence of Gentry' s anger and battery or Mercy leaving the place in a nightgown".
