I didn't write this out of jealousy or bitterness but out of my concern for the less-priviledged or people in need and am not blaming anyone for anything. "I now defecate, urinate through my abdomen". Those are the words of a Newspaper vendor hit by truck 10 years ago. The full story is on page 14 of Sunday Tribune. The vendor,hit by a truck along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway needs N6 million to regain his manhood and of course his normal life but no help has come his way since then, he was given just N1,000 by a good samaritan who deposited the money into his bank account. This man, according to him is from Akwa-Ibom state and has written 2 unanswered letters to the Governor of his State,Godswill Akpabio on August 25,2012 and Octobet 16, 2012 respectively. This same Governor who can not spare N6million for a man who is dying gradually now gave out 2 prado jeep worth millions of naira and a cheque of N3million to sponsor Tuface's family member to Dubai for his wedding. On page 28 of the same Sunday Tribune, according to Tuface" I knew the governor is used to helping the down-trodden. I had also known him before now that he has a noble mind. Gov Akpabio felt that as a new couple we would need all the financial assistance we get"
Questions that needs answer:
Is the vendor man not down-trodden?
Doesn't he need financial help.
Why didn't the gov exted his "noble" mind to the vendor man afterall he wrote his letters before Tuface's wedding.
