Following the death of Ekiti state deputy governor, Mrs Olayinka, the State Governor has forwarded the name of the Chairperson of the State SUBEB to the House of Assembly for consideration as the new deputy governor of the state.
Gov Fayemi, in a letter dated 3rd of May and addressed to the House's Speaker, Dr Adewale Omirin requested the House to consider Prof Adelabu for the position.
Prof Adelabu was the Head of Department, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife before her appointment as chairperson of Ekiti State SUBEB in July 2011.
